Hyaluronic acid lip fillers are a short procedure that takes only 15-20 minutes and usually lasts 5-8 months. The lips reach their final shape in 14 days. Anesthesia can be done with ointment, which is left to absorb on the mucous membrane of the lips for 8-10 minutes, or it can be done with „dental”, i.e., injection anesthesia. In both cases, the intervention can be performed with tolerable discomfort!
Hyaluronic acid lip filling is not a surgical procedure, so after the treatment the patient can continue his daily life without a recovery period, only a few small rules have to be followed for 2-5 days.
After anesthesia, the hyaluronic acid is delivered under the skin using a thin needle or cannula. The treatment, including the consultation, takes an average of 30 minutes.
Swelling may be experienced after lip fillers, but this discomfort usually disappears within 24-48 hours. The sensitivity of the lips may last for 10 days after the treatment! The substance breaks down in 14 days, its absorption takes 6-8 months depending on individual metabolism. Gradation is also important here, so the size of the lips can be increased every 2-4 weeks, preferably with the same product, during another intervention, according to the patient's needs.
